The development of this project has not started yet. We are still in the brainstorming phase. The original idea was suggested by Ronak Modi and User Interface of the app was designed by Jasjappan Singh.
Problem
Event organizers have a tough time organizing their virtual or physical events. An event platform is needed that makes the whole process seamless.
Bagging Potential Sponsors: Event organizers often have to discover and mail organizations blindly. It is a very ineffective methodology to bag sponsorships.
Event Discoverability: Most potential participants never get notified of events in their area or interests. Thus, this results in decreased quality of participants for events.
Proposed Solution
An event management platform where organizers can create event pages matching their theme along with their own content.
Sponsors will have the ability to discover & review events to match their interests and then contact the organizers for sponsorship opportunities. Similarly organizers can also broadcast requests for sponsorship which will be visible to all sponsoring organizations.
Potential participants can search for events using interest & event filters in any city. Users can also subscribe to certain interests or event types. Subscribed users will automatically get a notification when a similar event page is published nearby their location.
Summary
A community or a college is nothing without its students engaging in events. Whether the event is a university celebration or a global technology conference, Sponsorship is a critical issue for such organizers. These colleges are constrained by their limited connection with the brands & corporate world. For the brands, event sponsorship can create strategic marketing opportunities to reach a target demographic. Ultimately Sponsors add money to the bottom line for the organizer.
Our final idea is to develop a unique platform for connecting brands to the youth through college and club festivals. The colleges will list details about their forthcoming events and the available sponsorship opportunities. The participating brands will be able to explore the options available, and book sponsorships across various colleges from different cities on our platform. This marketplace will enable both the colleges and the brand to maximize their value by enhancing their event.
